Bella Thomson

I joined the team here as one of the resident writers and cancellation experts two years ago. Before coming on board here, I was a freelance writer and substitute teacher but found my passion here. Outside of work, I am a wife and mom who loves to bake and sew, as well as attending the various sports events my kids are involved in these days. It keeps me pretty busy. I joined the team here originally because the idea of collecting information to help people was very appealing to me and I have come to love the opportunity to serve in this way over the last two years. Thankfully, my background helps me do efficient and effective research and communicate it in a clear way to help you out with this process.

I did not picture myself as a writer here originally. But two years ago I got the chance to join Bella and the rest of the team here and I have never looked back. I retired from the Army and was looking for a place to serve as a civilian. My home life is myself and my wife, our three teenagers, and a dog that runs the house even though we say she doesn’t. I stay in shape by running and am training for my first marathon. I take my work here seriously, just as I did when I served as a soldier. I try to live my life that way, knowing we are all in this together and helping others matters. I feel my military past makes me a strong advocate and I love using that on behalf of others.

I was one of the original team members here. I helped launch the site and have been writing content here since the beginning. I used to work in customer service so I know how hard deleting and cancelling things can be. When I am not working, I enjoy woodworking and creating things in my workshop as well as training horses on the land I inherited from my family. I am married with a grown son who lives nearby with his spouse and my first grandchild. I take pride in using my customer service background and skills to help make the information we share here as clear and useful as possible. After all, in the words of Charles Dickens “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
